How do I apply for an EU Blue Card?
If you are a non-EU citizen and want to live and work in the EU, an EU Blue Card will be of interest to you.
The Blue Card will be valid for three years, allowing you and your family to live, work and travel in the EU and apply for permanent residence after five years.
You will need to fill certain criteria to successfully apply for an EU Blue Card:
- A recognised diploma, and:
- Evidence of at least three years professional experience, and;
- Offer of an EU job contract with a salary of three times the minimum wage.
It is expected the EU Blue Card scheme will be open for twenty-five European countries (UK & Ireland not included), each allocating a set number of Blue Card visas available to highly skilled workers each year.
